About
Trained at Stanford University, Dr. Alan Brackup was the first oculofacial plastic surgeon in the U.S. board certified in both ophthalmology and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Brackup limits his practice to cosmetic plastic surgery of the eyes face and neck. He is an assistant clinical professor at the University of Pennsylvania and remains active in academic medicine teaching both oculolastics and facial plastic surgery fellows. He is the author of numerous papers and book chapters in field and continues to publish in prominent journals. Dr. Brackup is a frequent invited speaker at plastic surgery meetings around the country. He is only one of a handful of surgeons in our area who performs the deep plane facelift, a technically advanced approach to face and neck rejuvenation. He is also one of few physicians who combines laser skin resurfacing with deep chemical peels to achieve remarkable results in skin rejuvenation. His background as an ophthalmologist also provides him with added expertise in cometic eyelid and brow surgery. By focusing his practice on a limited number of procedures, Dr. Brackup can offer the ultimate in specialized expertise, while designing the optimal facial rejuvenation plan for each patient.
