About
Jennifer M. Ty, MD, is a pediatric hand and upper extremity orthopedic surgeon. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Anthropology from Harvard University, and earned her medical degree from UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Dr. Ty continued her training with a research year at the National Institutes of Health, followed by orthopedic surgery residency at Harvard University. She then pursued fellowship training in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and hand and microvascular surgery at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Ty is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds additional subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand. Her clinical interests include congenital hand conditions, neuromuscular disorders affecting the upper extremity, and acute trauma to the hand and upper extremity as well as post-traumatic conditions. She is an active member of the Pediatric Hand Study Group (PHSG), the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). She has published many articles and book chapters as well as presented at numerous national and international conferences. Dr. Ty provides care in Wilmington, Delaware and Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.
